1. Unofficial Fan Project

Rome Total War Headquarters (RTWHQ) is an unofficial fan website created by an individual member of the Rome Total War board game Discord community. This site exists to help players track their campaigns and view community statistics.

This project was inspired by a Discord community debate: which faction is objectively the best? I built this site to collect real match data and find out. It's a personal labor of love, built in spare time, with no commercial intent.

2. No Affiliation or Endorsement

RTWHQ is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with:

• Creative Assembly – developers of the Rome: Total War video game
• Sega – current publishers of the Total War franchise
• CCC Games (Colour Command & Combat Ltd.) – creators of the Total War: ROME board game
• PSC Games – publishers of the Total War: ROME board game
• The Rome Total War Discord community – this site is not an official community project
• Any other company, publisher, or rights holder related to these products

3. Trademark Acknowledgment

All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are the property of their respective owners:

• "Rome: Total War", "Total War", and related marks are trademarks of Creative Assembly Limited and/or Sega Corporation.
• "Total War: ROME" (board game) and related marks are trademarks of CCC Games and/or PSC Games.

We use these names under nominative fair use – solely to identify the game this community is built around. We do not claim ownership of any trademarks and do not intend to imply any official status or endorsement.

4. Copyright & Images

Any game-related artwork, logos, or imagery displayed on this site remains the property of its respective copyright holders. Such content is used for fan and informational purposes only, to help identify and discuss the game.

We believe this use falls under fair use principles for fan content, as this site is non-commercial, transformative (we create new statistical analysis), and does not substitute for or harm the market for the original works.

5. Non-Commercial Project

RTWHQ is a 100% free, non-commercial project:

• We do not charge users for access or features
• We do not run advertisements
• We do not sell user data
• We do not accept donations or sponsorships (currently)
• We do not generate any revenue from this site

This is purely a passion project built to serve the community. The only "payment" we receive is the satisfaction of helping fellow players track their epic campaigns.

6. Community Acknowledgment

This website was inspired by the amazing Rome Total War board game community on Discord. The community members who helped build the rules, answer questions, organize games, and keep this game alive deserve all the credit for making this game accessible and enjoyable.

Important: This is a personal project by an individual community member – not an official community initiative. The Discord community did not commission, endorse, or authorize this website. Any issues, concerns, or feedback about RTWHQ should be directed to the site owner (see contact info below), not the Discord community.

RTWHQ is simply a tool I built to help that community – I take no credit for the community itself or the work others have done.

7. For Rights Holders

If you are a rights holder (Creative Assembly, Sega, CCC Games, PSC Games, or any related party) and have concerns about any content on this site, please contact us at hello@rtwhq.com. We will address your concerns promptly and in good faith. We have no intention of infringing on any rights and are happy to make reasonable adjustments.

8. Site Ownership

The website code, design, and original content (excluding game-related imagery and trademarks acknowledged above) are the original work of the site owner. All rights reserved.

• The source code is proprietary and not open source
• The website design and UI are original creations
• Statistical analysis and aggregated data displays are original work

This does not affect your ownership of any data you submit (game results, notes, etc.) – that remains yours as described in our Terms of Service.

9. Availability & Changes

RTWHQ is provided on an "as-is" basis. As a hobby project maintained in spare time:

• We cannot guarantee 100% uptime or availability
• Features may change, be added, or removed without notice
• The site may be discontinued at any time (though we hope not!)
• We'll do our best to give notice of any major changes
